Under the People section, you will find a list of very useful Filters that can help you find leads based on your ICP and buyer persona. You can also research target accounts to gather detailed information, such as engagement activities and account-specific data, which helps personalize your outreach.
You will mostly use filters like Location, Job Titles, Employees, Industry & Keywords, Technologies, and Revenue. Leveraging the Technologies filter allows you to find companies using specific technology stacks, which can help you target prospects based on their current technology. For example, you can use the Technologies filter to find companies that use Salesforce or HubSpot.
Now type the job titles you want to target based on your ICP. It’s best to input a few variations of the same job role. Apollo.io helps users discover new leads using advanced search capabilities, making it easier to expand your prospecting list.
If you want to go for an advanced search, combine management levels with title keywords. This helps you identify qualified leads and qualified prospects, so you can focus your outreach on those most likely to convert.
To filter out specific titles, simply go to Job Titles again, and activate the “Is not any of” toggle, enter the titles you wish to exclude, pressing Enter after each entry.
Now, it’s time to set the location of your prospective contacts. Scroll down to the Location tab and add city/state/country/ZIP code.
